I have created a sample map. when trying to run from WTX in the datapower environment i get "Map exectuon request send error".

Also I have configured Datapower for using WTX.

Also when i tried to send test request from cURL.. i get "Protocol https not supported" exception from cURL side. Can anyone suggest how https in cURL....

you shouldnt need to use https what port are you trying to connect to? If you imported the wtx test domain from the ibm site I think by default they use port 22222....

Hi Thanks for the reply

This is not the default port 22222. This is the port configured to listen to WTX. I am trying out the steps given in the WebSphere_Transformation_Extender_Compatibility_Guide document which is available in IBM site. When i tried to Run a map from WTX i get this error.

The IP of our data power box is https one. so should i try the tx-http xml proxy or tx-https xml proxy. I tried with both the ports (8011 and 8012 as listed in that tutorial) but i get the same "Map execution request send error" when i right click and try to run my map file in Data power box. Even I have added the certificate also in "Datapower Maps" option in WTX.

This is the command i used. This is the same command present in the WebSphere_Transformation_Extender_Compatibility_Guide document

curl --data-binary @wtx.swa http://172.17.2.32:8011 -H "Content-Type: multipart/related; type=\"text/xml\"; boundary=\"MIME_Part_7\""

when i try with this command i get the following:

curl: (7) couldn't connect to host

is there any admin setting from datapower that is blocking us from hitting datapower?

and....

Coming to the WTX part: when i run the map from WTX... i get the  "Map exection request send error" same error

Where do i specify my Internet Firewall proxy address in WTX so that i can send maps to datapower and execute the maps. There is provision only to specify the IP and port of datapower box alone in WTX Tools->Options->DatapowerMaps

I would suggest using soapUI instead of cURL.  soapUI is easier to use than cURL for https IMO.

I prefer it over cURL, it might make your life easier.

soapUI can be found here for free :

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=136013&package_id=163662&release_id=542387

Home site is :

http://www.soapui.org/

(I am not affiliated with them at all)

I am fine with NetTool. I am able to hit datapower.

The original problem remains unsolved. Still i am unable to directly execute the map from being in WTX map designer.

when i rightclick over map and try to run the map... i get this exception
"Map exection request send error".

Is ther any provision in WTX to specify the proxy IP apart from the provision wher in we give Datapower IP
