Hi,

I'm trying to create a WebSphere MQ Gateway(HTTP-to-MQ gateway). I want to make it asynchronous with MQ, i.e. I don't want to wait for MQ's response message at the Client Get Queue.  Is there any way we can remove the Client Get Queue from the Gateway?

Appreciate for any help.

Thanks in advance.

From what i understand , you have a synchronous front-end with HTTP as the protocol and backend is MQ.
You would like to use MQ in an asynchronous way.

If the above statement is correct, then HTTP2MQ might not be the right choice as the PUT and GET Queue fields are mandatory for this kind of service.

You could implement this using a loop back firewall, and use a stylesheet to drop the message into the Queue in an asynchronous manner using Extension functions. The same stylesheet could return a response back to the HTTP client too.

Hi,

If you are trying to do a one way HTTP-MQ with no reply, I recommend using a MPGW with an HTTP front-side handler and MQ backend with no specified reply queue.

You may want to stay away from using WebSphere MQ Gateway if your firmware version is 3.6.1 and above because it uses the old MQ client codes. The new MQ implementation only exist through using MPGW.
