Too bad we didn't get to have at discussion on this. Anyway I managed to test this myself.

First I configured a stylesheet profile to get a view of things:

--> XML Manager --> create Compile option policy --> create a profile rule with match pattern of your choice, I just used *

Now you will be able see your profiles under status-->XML processing-->stylesheet profiles. It give you a nice overview of execution times on your elements and it's easy to spot if anything could be done better.

For my xsl:key the performance improved but only under certain circumstances. I choose to use xsl:key though but without the profiler I would have been in doubt.

We have several WSPs defined on Datapower XI50s in several environments. Here Datapower is front-ended with an F5 (LTM) and we are using mutual authentication for communication between Datapower and back-end system. In the System Test environment we sometimes get following error message.

“Backside header failed to parse due to: Failed to process response headers”

The occurrence of this error is very inconsistent. So it is difficult to troubleshoot it real time or specify any definite timeline. After going over the information that is available on the IBM website it says the newer version 3.8.0.2 should fix it. The version that we have in place is 3.8.0.4.

Link that states about the version:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2362&context=SS9H2Y&dc=DB520&dc=DB560&uid=swg21292808&loc=en_US&cs=UTF-8&lang=en&rss=ct2362websphere

Anyone else facing same issue? Help Please!!

Hi,
I have few questions on DataPower's capability.
1) Can Datapower handle several parallel MQ messages ? If Yes, how ??
2) Is MQ character encoding fully supported by DataPower ?
3) How does redundancy work with Datapower?
4) Does Datapower support publish/subscribe on MQ?
5) Does Datapower support application signon to web services?
6) how well does Datapower work with an ESB service repository ?

Thanks in advance.

regards,
Mani.

Hi All,
      I am having  MQSeries as backend  and mq as front side handler. I am getting following error

The get call timed out before receiving any messages (Reason Code 2033), MQ Reason Code = 2033, MQ URL = dpmq://LocalQM/?RequestQueue=TEST.REQ;ReplyQueue=TEST.RSP;Transactional=true
The get call timed out before receiving any messages (Reason Code 2033)

            The same queues are working fine for different mpg where i am get the response with fraction of milliseconds. I have same backend and mqmanager configurations for this new flow
             I have set up 120 sec for timeout.  I am not able to figure out what could be the problem. No clue in the datapower logs.
               Can any one suggest what could be the problem

Thanks,
SRK

We are also planning to do the same. If you have done this already, can you please share your experience.

Hi

I've made an stylesheet that parses a log file (archived datapower default-logs). All it does is take a logfile, filter <log-entry> by date or transaction, sort by date and output it.

Code:
...
<xsl:for-each select="log-entry[myfilter predicate]">
<xsl:sort select="time/@utc" order="descending"/>
...
                output child elements of log-entry
                ...
</xsl:for-each>
...

Should I use xsl:key to improve performance?
Any suggesting how to set up profiling in datapower to se the difference on the two appproaches?

Thanks in advance and great to stumple upon datapower forum :-)

We are trying a retry mechanism mentioned in this link http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21282678 for a Web Service Proxy.

During retry the web serice call fails and we traced down that this is happening due to missing SOAPAction in the HTTP headers (HTTP request trace posted below).  But the DataPower debug probe showed proper SOAPAction headers while verifying the transformations using "show probe".

Same call works fine if its not in the "error retry" and I can see proper SOAPAction header with data.

Any clues on missing SOAPAction Data will be helful?
