Hi i have just found this forum and joined and would like some help please

At work we have two xs40,s one that has never been used the company i work for
did not renew he service contract so i can no longer get help from IBM the problem
is that the second xs40 needs to be configuired and i dont know the password
if i console in i just get the Login prompt is there a password recovery procedure

please could you point me in the right direction

Well your basically out of luck... The password recovery is to send it into IBM and they will send you a new device. The default user and password is admin/admin. I would give that a try otherwise you need to look into getting some support. I would love to help but theres nothing you can do. Also be very careful and do not open the case as that will cause more issues.
